I am a highly motivated journalist with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication, teamwork & analytical skills gained through my degree, professional placement year at the Hastings Independent Press and time as a reporter at the Times of Tunbridge Wells.

Outside of university and work, I am an avid follower of sports (especially football, rugby union, tennis, boxing and F1), passionate about cinema and enjoy cooking.

Throughout my placement year and role at the Times of Tunbridge Wells, I honed my written and communication skills and developed my ability to replicate an organisation's tone and writing style for specific audiences. Furthermore, I have gained first-hand experience as a section editor and relished the opportunity of composing the entirety of the community section for the Hastings Independent and the sports section of the Times of Tunbridge Wells over multiple issues and subediting any submitted copy. As a social media editor, I learnt how to edit and adapt written content for different platforms, which was beneficial in increasing post engagement; and driving traffic to the newspaper's website.

I have extensive expertise in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud programmes, experience in operating filming and audio equipment and a willingness to learn how to operate any new equipment or software.

I am an outgoing and approachable person who is enthusiastic about pursuing a career within the media industry that involves communicating with others and creating engaging and accessible high-quality content.
